Le librerie software SALOME possono essere usate da sole oppure assieme ad applicativi di terze parti per l&#8217;intero ciclo di vita di gestione del modello CAD.<br \/>\n\u00c8 open source, rilasciata sotto la GNU Lesser General Public License; i componenti software, eseguibili e sorgenti, sono scaricabili dal sito ufficiale.<\/p>\n<p>SALOME \u00e8 pi\u00f9 prestante di BRL-CAD per applicazioni complesse.<\/p>\n<h2>Funzionalit\u00e0<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Supporto per l&#8217;interscambio e interoperabilit\u00e0 dei modelli e dei calcoli tra software CAD-CAE.<\/li>\n<li>Rende pi\u00f9 facile l&#8217;integrazione di nuovi componenti per sistemi eterogenei per il calcolo numerico.<\/li>\n<li>Imposta la priorit\u00e0 di accoppiamento tra software di calcolo.<\/li>\n<li>Fornisce una interfaccia utente generica, semplice ed efficiente, che aiuta a ridurre i costi di formazione e sviluppo degli addetti, nonch\u00e9 il tempo per la realizzazione degli studi di fattibilit\u00e0.<\/li>\n<li>Tutte le funzioni sono accessibili attraverso le funzionalit\u00e0 di programmazione della console<span>\u00a0<\/span>Python<span>\u00a0<\/span>integrata.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Attualmente il software \u00e8 disponibile per<span>\u00a0<\/span>Windows, Debian (Etch\/Lenny\/Squeeze), Mandriva (2008\/2010, 32\/64 bits), Red Hat Enterprise 4 (64 bits), Scientific Linux 5.1 (64 bits) e CentOS 5.5 (64 bits). Ma i sorgenti sono altres\u00ec scaricabili da coloro che vogliono sviluppare e rendere disponibile SALOME per altre piattaforme.<\/p>\n<p>I binari eseguibili<span>\u00a0<\/span><i>Universal<\/i><span>\u00a0<\/span>sono forniti per le altre distribuzioni Linux a 32 e 64 bit come file archivi compressi<span>\u00a0<\/span>.tgz. Questi binari possono essere eseguiti &#8220;cos\u00ec come sono&#8221; senza necessit\u00e0 di ricompilare i sorgenti, a condizione di aver installato le librerie di programmazione Python e le librerie grafiche standard<span>\u00a0<\/span>X11.<\/p>\n<p>SALOME \u00e8 nato dalla collaborazione e integrazione originaria di 9 software industriali sviluppati dalle industrie francesi ad alta tecnologia in diversi campi:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>OPEN CASCADE<\/li>\n<li>CEA<\/li>\n<li>EDF<\/li>\n<li>EADS<\/li>\n<li>Bureau Veritas<\/li>\n<li>Principia<\/li>\n<li>Cedrat<\/li>\n<li>LIP6<\/li>\n<li>LEG<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Euriware \u00e8 una societ\u00e0 di AREWA Group che, in collaborazione con CEA\/DEN, EDF R&amp;D, rilascia SALOME e ne fornisce anche supporto commerciale.
